Just wopping a thread on here for my car - Some of you may remember my lil mini estate thread a while back - that project kinda fell on its and this is the most reliable mini I have ever seen so I had to have it, even tho its almost pink! Feeling kinda lame for 'dirtying' a cool retro site with another common or garden mini but i'm out to prove not all mini owners are into minilights, sportspacks and white roofs! So this is how I bought my Milly, complete with minilights and white roof! (ahh the irony) excuse the writing - its the only picture I have that shows her off properly. Anyway, the wheels where the first thing to go - they made good money and I have some hideous mayfair alloys to stick on for the time being. They are now due to be replaced by 10x6 split rim exactons... sexy, non? In the high winds we had a few weeks back, garden debris took a dislike to my mini and destroyed the paint job on the bonnet - originally it was going matt black but I saw the ghost flamed Type 3 on here and took the inspiration... Not great due to my p155 p00r painting skills and less than useful masking tape - think i'll try it again with fablon flames instead... And finally - this is the final destination of my project.. hopefully.

I like the paint job as it is now, and snap on the ghosting idea - I want to do that to my Mini!

the current paintjob IS pretty cool but its starting to look a bit tatty with bubbles, rust and scratching... plus the roof has been pushed up by the roof rack... time for a change and to stamp myself on the car hey! ghost minis all round!

So, not a whole lot of activity since my last post... until now She's currently away earning her MOT and my tyres have finally arrived for the splits. They look like this.... IMO the wheels look a bit lost surrounded by all that rubber, and not very special anymore so i simulated a white band with masking tape.... Much better! ;D White paint duly ordered from Frost and the wheels will be on as soon as i have the car back and my brakes arrive from minisport. which is also taking forever.

That is going to be a pretty unique Mini. I do love the force rims, I was planning to have a set made for my old clubby, but I ran out of funds (needed a daily driver so brought a corrado in sted ) What brakes have you gone for?

The wheel centres are going to be body colour eventually, gun metal for the time. I'm waiting for some 7.5 inch 4 pots from minisport. Its been a fortnight - they're getting a call tomorrow!!

Well I have been a busy bunny recently. the first big change is the 10's have been on for a few months now. Got tired of waiting for minisport as I phoned them and was told it would be another fortnight before they were in stock, so I took a trip to minits and scored mysself a brand new 7.5 inch cooper s set up instead. looks like this.... and on her wheels with the whitewalls... ;D unfortunatly the whitewall paint from frost proved to be curse word and went black/brown inside a fortnight and flaked off so they are gone, but looked cool for a while anyhow. The second major change is a home respray back to the cars original colour - suitably retro oyster beige. She was supposed to be white but the paint reacted and went a pissy yellow colour. The respray has included smoothing out the side repeaters, washer jets and blanking plates, rear plate light and aerial. I've also added an aero style cap... i'm putting a kind of euro slant on the styling hence i've got some of ISAYDINGDONG's finest on the way soon. All of the respray materials and equipment were bought on a budget from the bay of goodness... enjoy the pics... photos-730.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v77/242/48/525645730/n525645730_254750_3297.jpg[/img] You can't see it but the a panels are checked fablon because I stuffed them up I'll pop a pic up in a bit. I have a bit of fitting up to do now and then a remodel of the interior. I am however in need of your opinion guys, with regards to what to do with the bonnet. These are the options... 1/ beige to match the car 2/ strip it and rust it 3/ Beige with rust flames 4/ bring back the black ghost flames 5/ carbon fibre what do you think? I plan to have the wheel centres polished now, and some black handles. I have some carbon GT mirrors on the way and she desperatly needs a good sticking. I will probably add a roof rack at some point too... but for now i'm outta cash and tierd but happy with how the car is looking. ;D
