Evening all Just brought this ;D Haven't acually got it yet, I've gotta wait for my insurance to come through so I can get some tax for it. Going to be picking it up on Tue/Wed. Only rust its got is a small amount of surface rust on a dent on the front n/s arch. As shown below: I will get some more pictures probably next weekend. Haven't got any plans at the min, just going to tap with the stick.

Mate had one of these when I had the Mini in Uni - maybe yours is in better health than his, cos his was brutal slow! Great fun though and it was a trusty steed!

Not too sure yet. Definatly needs to be lower. Hadn't thought about it too much. Due to the headgasket problem (in general section) if the engine is knackered, I may be putting a bigger one in. Otherwise I will leave the 1.3 in. Cheap tax, insurance and and petrol

Love the font on the numberplate! I'd stick with the 1.3 anyway, you can pick them up for £20 or so

Looks great, similar to my old one except without the arch spats.
I've got some clear front lenses for one of these, I was gonna put them on eBay but I can't really be bothered, you can have them if you want.

i like it with the eyebrow , looks good. nice clean condition too incidentally if those plastic number plate mounting thingies are original then its a north east car cos 'colebrook + burgess' are the firm i worked for in the early '90's . the audi/vw branch was at 'silverlink ' , wallsend to be precise... and i remember the big display they had in the showroom which was full of BBS alloys - not cheap !!! new alloys look good , i'd keep them silver tho

^ Yea, definatly keeping them silver. Gotta get some prices for powder-coating and referbing them.
I think the plate surrounds are original. All I know is that an old boy had the Golf before the guy I brought it off. It had bog standard steels on when he owned it though. The BBS's were put on by the previous bloke.
