Thought I would share some of my previous cars
Before these came 2 mini's, a mk2 fiesta, 205 GTi 1.6, Sierra saphire cossy replica (using genuine body parts and alloys) and a Charade GTTi
Oldest 1st
1997 Mini Cooper sportpack in yukon Grey. I converted it to 85 BHP and ran it as my only car for a couple of years, but a couple of big breakages (dropped a valve and then the gear box blew) and my up coming wedding meant it had to go.
1986 Scirocco Scala. Given to me by a friend (it had sat in his garden for a year)
It had been lowered (Spax shox's Eibach springs and lower struct brace), 256mm discs on teh front and a jetex exhaus that never fitted properly (Grrr TSR )
Then there was a ZX Diesel that lasted 3 months before I PX'd it on this (standard at the time)
1990 Golf GTi 8V. I then fitted a Magnex exhaust, lowered 80mm and fitted a set of G60 winter rims with 195/50/15 Goodyear eagle F1's (dam fine tyers they where)
I tried to replace it twice, first with this
an 1978 opel Monza 3.0E manual with a blue velour interior. Fantastic car, but only could get 22 MPG due to being a 4 speeder so had to go.
then brought this
Mk3 Atsra SRi 2.0. Loved the fat it looked like a 1.4 base model and it was fun, but not as much fun as the Golf which I still hadn't managed to sell (wasn't really trying though ;D) so that went as well.
All was stable for a bit until I had the urge to build a mini as my daily driver (to go with teh track one I had). So the Golf was sold to make some funds for goodies and I built this litle fella
Basic spec was: fully restored shell sprayed in Old English White and a Aqua roof and arches, 1014cc rob walker Stg 2 cooper engine (putting out 60 BHP), S brakes, Mamba's, 2 up 2 down cibbie oscars, matching green leather interior with walnut dash
I then got given another free scirocco, this time a 1986 1.8 GT-S. It needed some work to get it through the MOT and was pretty rotten really. Ended up giving it to my mate that had given me the white one when the heater matrix had failed (and I thought that the head gasket had gone
A change in Jobs ment that a new car needed to be brought so this fitted the bill nicely
1991 1.8 16v Corrado that came with a stainless exhaust, 17" lenso alloys and a set of FK konig coli-overs. Saldy this and the clubby had to be sold to fund my Cooper S
