Fancied something biege and smooth. Thanks to MikeV8 who put me on this, I took a lesiurely train journey to Shrewsbury to pick up this pensioner owned Galant yesterday. Came with service history, MOT and TAX until April and had been garaged for most of its life. It cruises really nicely too and full equiped with all the goodies you'd expect from J car. It will need some welding to the rear suspension turrets for its next MOT and as you can see there is some evidence of surface rust and that rear ding needs pulling out but I'll get that all sorted this weekend. I'll probabily keep this car as is, even those steel wheels look ace. Right then, who wants to buy a B310 Sunny?

you can only keep the steels if you paint or polish them! id prefer to see it on some really old naff alloys though, preferably those weird hatched charade (?) ones?

I heartily approve of that! 1600 or 2-litre? Great OAP colour, you could pretend it's a German taxi.
Needs a tartan rug on the back shelf.....
Edit: Just looked at the Auto Trader ad, bargain indeed!

Yeah, I think the wheels could do with a refurb - maybe clean and spray them - I'll play around with photoshop and see what comes up. This has the 1600 'balancer' engine, ultra smooth and sounds quite gruff! I paid nowhere near the asking price..... I thinking a metal tissue box. It does have that have that slightly musky smell that you associate with silver tops, but its a genuine honest car.

I'd be thinking of polishing up the trim rings and painting the wheels a gunmetal shade, add to the illusion of depth.
That's got to be your #1 choice to bring to Billing this year, I intend taking the Accord to add some variety.

Steel wheels look fantastic, love the little thin marker lights next to the indicators. These have a lovely shape to them. Definately one to mint up and keep standard.

That Sapparo belongs to Joncedric - best get in touch with him about its fate. Forgot to say thanks to him for picking me up at the station in one of his amazing cars.
You mean B310 - ?? http://www.turbophile.com/feature_cars/g1-a15-datsun-sunny-b310.html
That the one, except mines got the round headlamps. Its now surplus to my needs, so I'll be putting it on here for sale in the next few days. If no joy on here, then the uncertain world of ebay.
Nigel, regretably I won't be at the Billing event....due to prior commitments. Which is a real shame, but then at least I won't have to worry about which car to take!
