manual, it has a 4 speed with reverse "over and back" 3 litre capri box maybe? has spax shocks and the heavy duty 2.3 axle on it (atlas diff goes straight in it so LSD will be easy to source) electric windows and central locking. still debating if I'm gonna faff about getting the 2.8 running or just fit the 24 valve thats was intended for my 3 door sierra, not much extra work to swop the engine over and it'll shift with 200bhp. anyone know if the MT75 gearbox fits in the tunnel of these?

Good purchase Aparently the MT75 needs a bit of adjustment on the tunnel and you need to use the rubber coupling for the prop too. Also there like hens teeth as most of them with a v6 bellhousing were 4x4. Type 9 will go easy but they aint really strong enough for much abuse. I think steve taylor builds hybrid type 9's with mt75 internals for most of his conversions but i'm not sure on the technicalitys of it all.

looks pretty good ST builds hybrid mt75's basicaly using 4x4 front half and 4pot 2wd rea halfr mt75 boxes mated to a custom prop it will fit the stock tunnel (just) the type 9 should be ok as long as it has few choice parts

i know steve, he's a good mate of my cousin, i already have a proper V6 MT75 from germany as i was gonna 24v my 3 door sierra so i don't have to worry about getting a box sorted, funnily enough, the granny i bought to take the engine out of has been converted to manual with a hybrid box so i have a spare as well. AND woohoo, the alleycats are mine as well now.

I like it as it is (except prehaps the interior). I see it has evidence of past abuse with a dodgy after market bott mounted spoiler! Luck find with the gearbox aswell. The propshaft will need a sliding joint fitting though as apparently the output of the mt75 box is fixed and not sliding like the type 9. In fact, can you confirm this for me please?
Are you going to put bumpers on it or leave them off?

undecided about bumpers as yet, sliding jiont prop shouldnt be a major issue as bothe P100 and the transit came with MT75's and had a live axle, so I'm hoping i can mod one of them to fit.

Nice! leave the bodywork and paintjob as it is (looks spot on ;D) and spend the money on making it go faster and handle better My thoughts exactly.
