hi everbody! I present to you all my 1980 datsun cherry, i've had loads of old skool rides since I learnt to drive in '99 and this is my latest. sold a v6 cortina and went all economical! its done 54k from new and is very close to being super minty! i'm going to be tweaking it as funds allow, anyone got any ideas for mods? will post pics as work progresses. looking forward to being a retro-rides person!    |

Re: briandamaged, yes 'tis me! ;D definately bringing it to bedworth this weekend, should annoy the buffers nicely! it is very, very yellow! Re: mods, been sizing up some pipe fora new exhaust system, surely 1" as stock is a bit restrictive?(!) going for a single tailbox 2" jobby. the engine (988cc datsun a-series) really cant breath, i reckon theres a little rev-box waiting to be unleashed!  i'd be happy with 50bhp.......! |

some work has occured! took it to a local fitters and had a new exhaust and 4 tyres put on. old pipe was clogged solid and the tyres weren't very sticky anymore after 20+ years! so now it "goes" and "handles" today, i put my brand new 2 post ramp to use and completely repainted the underside. good enough to eat off now, if you want waxoyl flavoured dinner!   whilst waiting for the paint to set, i borrowed the wheels off the matiz behind it. unfortunately despite being a perfect fit they look proper pants. looks like the 4j's will remain for a little while. |
