Picked this on the bay at the weekend, 5months tax and 9months MOT. It's pretty reasonable for the price I paid, gave it a once over today. But I'm not sure how it got through it's MOT 3 months ago considering the state of the rear brake pipes and the lack of centre tread on the rear tyres
It's going in for another MOT next week to see what other skeletons come out of the closet.
Bad points I already knew consist of a sizable chunk missing from the passenger wing, and after having a poke about the jacking point is a bit of a state on the same side and place. That's nothing new considering the lack of jacking points completely on my E21... Driver's seat is a bit knackered too.
Apart from that I'm pretty chuffed with it! The whole point of this car is give me something fun to drive while and relaxing me about getting my E21 project on the road too quickly. It drives well and sounds nice enough and apart from the drivers seat, the interior is pretty mint. And as a bonus it's been lowered at some point, saves me a job!
Since my logic is just to run the car as is and concentrate on my E21 I'm trying to spend as little time and money as possible. So those alloys (15x7J) I've grown to be quite fond of will be coming off to make way for black steels (14x5.5J) on the front and bottletops (14x6J) on the rear, as they have decent tyres! Unfortunately all this tyre changing took its toll on the locking wheel nut key as it sheered completely, not impressed.
Well enough talking, here's the car as I got it back
