This is my old Golf, "Driver" with 2 litre TSR carb engine. Went quicker than an 8 valve GTI and quicker than Mk4 1.8T. (tested down Bristol's Midnight Highway - the M32). Sold last year. My first car, Audi 80 1.6 4 speed carb. Currently in a field in Devon SORN'ed. Going to put the running gear (and ROLL CAGE!) out of this 80 Sport (1.8 8V Golf GTI enine) into it and 15" Mini steel wheels and plastic wheel trims. PS the Wellers have long gone..... Then one day would like to give it 1.8T 20v power......... and we are moving to 10 miles from Castle Combe...... My work van: Better than a Transh*t. Steve, Bristol.

Someone is having the shell and doors to do a Sport quattro conversion. I am having:
engine/gearbox/fuel system etc. brakes suspension etc....
Sunroof has gone.
I am keeping lights etc for spares.
Interior has been stripped so its pretty much nothing left. If you want anything not mentioned above, let me know.

Ta very much. The works van was a great choice, I basically had £1000 to spend, and could have got a M reg transit with rusty doors that had been shagged by builders, a J/K reg T4 or the T25. Or a K reg Merc van (in black).
Its my own company so I get to smile as I go to work. What freaks people out is that I spend 3 days a week in the office wearing a suit, so I turn up in the company car park driving it. Some days I go off after work and do odd jobs on the way home so get changed in the back of the van from suit to work clothes.
The T25 is great cos it carries long stuff better than any of the above vans due to the engine being under the load area. And I get to wave at people.
