This is my mottley assortment of sheds. The Mini is a project originally had a 1293 in it which went bang so it has a though for the time being. It's painted fiat Broom Yellow and will eventually have black Weller wheels and Wood and Pickett arches. The Golf is not a project, it is mt daily driver but not for long it's on ebay as we speak so I'll cheekily post the ad shortly. I've replaced it with a cheap MKVI Escort which I won't mention again.   |

thats coming on well, i've been on my mini today, reconditioning a set of hubs, new wheelbearings & balljoints, all degreased & painted , yummy!
w&p arches look ace & i like the black trim rather than the chrome, nice original idea

Mini 998cc grp bonnet & boot, lightend shell, 6-point cage, soon to have a turbo on the 998 engine (t2 frm a r5gt) rs turbo intercooler, hoping to get 120ish bhp?

how on earth did u get the light surrounds to be black like that? mine are the crappy original silver and i hate them, am dying to get rid of all the chrome, and would love to do that to mine!
hows it done?

just rub em down with some sand paper then mask off the light, spray with primer, then spray with black paint when the primer is dry.

Should have added, if you can find the lights from a late 80's hideous Mary Quant designer with deckcahir seats, they have black light surrounds IIRC.

Well the Golf's gone. It sold on ebay Saturday night and the new owner collected it yesterday. Down to two daily drivers and the Mini which is more manageable.

About time I updated this. The Fraudy Scrote continues to provide good service needing only a new fan switch and header tank. I've even treated it to some new (cheap steel) wheels. The Mini hasn't been touched for months but I tidied out the garage this weekend and did a small amount of meddling. I have majorly lost interest though so I might either stick it on ebay or break it. I've got this strange urge to buy a volvo 940 turbo. Anyway a couple of pics.   |
