Just got back from spending the week up in Norwich with my missus.
On sunday we were driving to a Boot sale that was on locally, out of the corner of my eye I spot what I thought was a late 70's Dyane tucked away behind a boat & a Corsa van.
Anyways, we carry onto said sale. On the way back we stop outside the house. I can now see that it's earlier than I originally thought due to the shade of blue.
Bird strolls up to front door, rings bell. Woman answers it. Bird says 'Just wondering if the car's for sale' Woman answers 'doubt it - i'll ask' runs off to back garden to find hubby.
Hubby emerges a few minutes later, turns out he has only had the car a week. Was given it by a friend who had it 9 years.
He seems a bit reluctant to sell, but she badgered him to name a price. He did & I almost bit his hand off! £150 changed hands & I signed the log book, reversed off his drive & drove into the sunset!
Seems to have spent much of it's life around the Norwich area, although it was originally registered in the London area.
As you can see it's pretty battered looking, although a quick poke around has revealed only a few small bits requiring the attention of the torch!
Plans are just to get it legal, then drive the wheels of it!
Oh, BTW. it IS tax exempt! ;D
