hi all well the pontiac is now gone. and ive bought something ive always wanted... a imp. well a singer chamois actually but same thing really. any way enuff of the talk.. #some pics....! yehy!!# as I got it... and I start stripping it.. nothing in here!! yet... glass bonnet! glass boot/engine cover! stripping the interior!! and the inevitable rusty bit!! but only this and small patches on front valence/corners. my plans are.... stripped interior. placy windows. half cage. wide 13" steels. 2"lower. and buckets round white spots with numbers on doors and offset on bonnet. stickon numberplate on bonnet edge. and so far a light modded sport engine with janspeed and bike carbs and front rad.. was going turbo but I have a blower doing nothing so it MAY be used.. depends on time really as I want it on the road sooner rather than later. any ideas on colour welcome. I was thinking white wheels with old english white roof with powder ble shell? or maybe top half hearing aid biage with lower half milk chocolate brown? wos say ye all?? si

just a little up date and pics on the imp project. ive decided on the colour, it going to be faulse-leg fawn/mushroom kinda colour with the swage line in light milk chocolate brown with old english white wheels!! mmmmmm! any way. ive been removing old paint, underseal, the rusty rear load area/parcel shelf type thing, and lots of redundent brackets etc.. started painting the engine bay and rear screen area. in primer. all inside engine bay, in car and under bonnet in satin black! any way new pics below: what are peop's comments on my wheels 6j13" will run lower profile 165 tyres not the 185's on them... and will be lowered at least 2" all round! si

Love it. One day I'd like to do an Imp.
I'd do her in maroon with a cream roof or two-tone maroon top and cream below the fold at the top of the wings. Probably not that colour maroon though, I'd go for a richer one that's less pink like Ford laquer red like my old 100E was.

Being a boring old fart that I am, may I suggest sticking to a period colour. Lavendar Grey or foam white would look nice.

Si, looks like you've been busy. How about Gunmetal grey, mattblack wheels and matt black rollcage. Bauhaus style??
Crystal clear headlamps, clear front indicators and black/red taillights.

a little update on the imp.. ive now cout out and replaced the rear engine panel/parcel shelf bit... whatever its called.. a little bit of welding done on rearwheel arch and a bit of panel beating/ shaping around the rear lights as it was a bit deformed due to a little accident some time in the past. and a panel made and welded into the lower rear corner. quick skim of filler and a dust over in primer... the arch and rear engine bay area now painted and rear lowered. the wheels with a lower profile tyre now.. much better! and the bits that i have collected for the turbo convertion.. carb and manifold courtesy of blownimp/badlimp what ever J is now called should save me a few hours i expect.. this is all taking a little bit longer than anticipated though,, (isnt it always!) and so i have to stop working on this to get myself back on the road so on with my nissan kingcab!! oh ive decided... its deffo going light chocco brown with a baige roof!! (untill i change my mind again! )
