hi guys i`ve been a member for a wee while now just reading mind but thought it was time to introduce my retro rides before i sell some of them off and say hello
i was a bit mk1 astra mad ( now on my 7th or 8th lost count lol ) but now going of them and wanting back into rwd retro or another competitive rally car ? anyway here is what i have just now before some go to new owners
first off is my wee 3dr kadett D which is totally mint and never been welded even the sills are original very very rare on a mk1 which i`ve had for a couple of years now but sadly is departing from me on saturday to it`s new owner with a full mot as i need garage space for an upcoming restoration
then there is my mk1 astra bedford van with a few mods i.e gte interior 5 speed conversion etc this will be on ebay in a few weeks taxed and mot`ed in a driveaway condition, very, very rare to find one of these nowadays
this is a gte i had for a while but i sold it late last year 17 " kosei`s,2ltr xe engine,310 mm brakes, disc back beam, stainless twin exit exhaust, lowered uprated suspension etc,etc now somewhere in cumbria last i heard
this is my baby and NOT FOR SALE lol, this car is the oldest known mk1 gte in existence being an original GTM prefixed gte and the only one known left out of 5 i think in 1983 for those not in the know these were vauxhall test/press cars used pre release of the gte for drumming up business in mags etc, mines was later converted by gm dealer sport into an international spec works grp n stage rally car and won the 1984 shell oils british open rally championships and the 1984 lombard rac rally of great britain ( wrc event ) grp n so a very special gte indeed and i`m selling off the above mk1`s to make room in the garage to totally strip her down and rebuild her exactly like her championship winning spec and then get her to the shows where she belongs as a great piece of motorsport history, she has been featured in many mags and even has a feature in the rallying bible book "world rallying" and even has stickers of her made as seen below and posters so i`m very lucky to be her owner ;D
not retro but my daily driver for those of you local to me if you see me give a wave i`m out on the road constantly ;D
not the wife lol
any way that`s a wee introduction to me and my cars as you can see i`m a bit of a petrol head and also a rally nut so i think i`ll fit in here just fine ;D
