Absolutely amazing! You have to tell us everything you know about how this van survived so long in its origional livery, how did you come by it? Any of those suggestions for modding would absolutely RULE

I got it from Universal Salvage auction at Sandy i bid online (what a hassle registering to bid!!) It was owned by Centrica (the new name for British Gas) they'd bought it from a Marina?ital enthusiast who sold it to them in 2004 after restoring it. How it ended up at Universal Salvage is a mystery. Apparently Centrica had bought it for their museum in middlesex. Sadly they took nil care of it and it has some rust patches on it where the spray job (at least 1mm t-h-i-c-k!!) has peeled off!
There was the mangled remains of a bulkhead in the back of it along with some very DOG smelling carpet some teabags and general rubbish. It was also covered in green mould/moss when i got it.

id say leave it as it is on the outside, maybe small mods but ill cry if you respray it!! As for engine mods go as mad as you like, and its got to sit as low as poss on wide black wheels.
This van really could be the ultimate sleeper, and as it is its a real find and if kept standard would still be a credit to you. i love it!

legendary. i think i'd be tempted to leave it just as it is.
if you can find a 1983 copy of The Sun for the dashboard you can have an RR point! ;D

I think ive seen this van before, on the A14 near Kettering about 5 years ago? Unless theres two of them!
If that was mine theres no way Id mod it, its too rare and unsusual to chop about. Modify a motor thats more common please!!

Absolutely great. What an ace find.
I can't imagine you'd be fighting off bidders for that.... DON't tell us what pittance you paid for it as it will cause massive jealousy!

Yeah, little 1275 A+ engine in it. Being a B reg it comes with Telescopic shock absorber front suspension which is a bonus :-)

That probably is the same van as its been doing the rounds on car shows for years and I know the ex-owner.....tittivate it and do some reversable mods...... ;D
