By day, during the week I have the er...pleasure of driving an old Transit Although it is a petrol and its big enough to frighten 'Saxoboy'! Unless I have just finished a big project, then I run it for a few weeks to see whats gonna fall off! But at the weekends I get out to play in my Mini! Its not the best picture but it isn't bad for one taken on my mobile! My Mini is a 1974 Mini 1000 with an almost standard MG Metro 1275 engine (Not the Turbo). The interior and outside are standard with the exception of the CD player, speakers and Rev counter. Currently recommisioning a set of Dunlop D1 alloys otherwise trying to keep things subtle!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Thanks for the kind comments! Daveyboy, it has a set of cooper 7.5" discs and greenstuff brake pads. I fancy a set of Minispares 4 pot callipers for them but any time I have the cash it always ends up being blown on some sort of wacky races project motor! My Min also sports a Minispares special 3 core radiator, later cooper cooling fan, spax adjustables and polybushes all round and a later 2 speed heater that was a curse word to change the controls to keep it looking original! Wanted to turn it into a sort of Seventies retro boy racer but I just couldn't bring myself to! Have had silly offers for it (And for the wheeltrims!) but I want to keep it as it is the closest to a sensible car I have ever had!
