That bit of weight loss was easy.... ;D Now get the anglegrinder out Mark! ;D Wished I lived a bit closer sometimes...... ;D that bit of weight will be going back in but with a lot more power  as soon as the 100e goes the floor chassis and roll cage will come out and be replaced with something lighter and stronger really quite looking forward to it now ;D ;D |

sounds like a space fram esque build to me. looking forward to this as i'm sure everyone is when you get an idea in your head, shame about the 100e though  |

new rear rails turned up today so as i'm out of welding gas again  i'll be getting on with some major stripping down on the van tomorrow will get pics up when i get in |

pics as promised . its all starting to look a little sorry now most of the cage is out not looking forward to taking out the dash but its all gotta go and there no way to get it out in one bit  oh well i'll just have to make a better job of the next one old heavy weight cage out ;D :  :  :  :  :  :  |

Looking forward to following the progress. cheers I've been really happy with the way the car has performed this year but I've always planned to do something about the weight the new chassis will be much stronger and lighter saving around a third of the over all weight . the rest of the engine bits arrived today things are getting a little serious in the engine department looking forward to getting to use it in anger ;D :  :  :  :  :  :  :  :  :  :  :  the pistons will be going up for sale they were part of the stroker kit but because I'm using the trick flow twisted wedge heads I'll be needing different pistons |

well theres no turning back now ;D ;D and I won't be using any of the cortina front suspension or crossmember so that should save most of the weight at the front end sadly looks like i'll be needing all new front end panel work as the wings really didn't want to come off :  :  :  :  :  :  :  :  |

Get rid of all that filler and paint!  only bits with lots of filler in are the rear quarter panels were the widows should be and they are being replaced with lighter material paint will have to stay though all be it a fresh scheme ;D |
