Found some old photos of the Amazon I had built a few years back. The car was bought from the legendard Amazon expert Charlie Garrett for £650 then lowered 6" before being shipped up north where it was shaved and painted. There were loads of really cool mods like a flush fitting electric ariel, custom rear lights, one-piece bumpers, etc. Paul Burnham ( www.burnhamautos.com) then fitted the Volvo T5 rims by totally changing the stock stud pattern. I had a drink with Charlie back in June and he told me that he saw it broken down on the outskirts of Telford a few week prior... Damn I miss that thing! ASHLEY     |

i like that. it just works was it the stock motor? imagine that with a T5 motor and satin purple paint... ;D |

if someone had told me there was an amazon running on those rims, and in that colour id have thought it would look a bit odd, but that looks so right, spot on. Nice touch with the black round the windows and keeping some of the chrome trim. I like it alot, very cooooooool 8)

I had an Amazon as my first car and always swore that I would do one exactly as I wanted one day.
Did want to put a T5 motor in it, but worked out a 2.3T would have been better... and then decided to get a Mustang instead!
