Thought I'd do this a proper thread like, so I can keep track of it's development The car is '66 Sceptre 1725cc on a three-speed auto. Here's what it looked like when I bought it a few weeks back. And this is what it looks like currently: Paint still needs a little bit of 'finishing off' / detailing, but it's getting there. Going to be treated to some 'traditional' rod / custom touches, but probably nothing too extreme. Just a bit of fun really! Great for lazy cruising.

Come on!!! This is cool - I love it in matt black. Chalk pinstriping FTW. I saw an Alvin Stardust wig that would finish this car off, proper Rockabilly style.

That's looking good! Fancy writing a piece to go into the Humber club magazine about the car? I know several people would love to hear what you've done. Honest.

id be the first to say leave it like it was, but that looks sooooooo cool in matt black. I can see deep dish red steels with shiney red hubcaps, and pinstriping. And don't forget the leopard-skin seat covers, ohhhhhh YES!

Love it! I'm a massive Rootes fan. Needs Moon discs though and thin band whitewalls.
