oops knew I was forgetting something minor detail. Basically body is getting all the rust and absolutely all imperfections removed. Rear guards will be flaired a little but basically the rest of the cars exterior will be staying standard, I am a panel beater so this is where I shine, and I am gonna be a little obsessive here I think. Will be resprayed in an off white, and the standard rims will be going on which will be painted gun metal grey and will have polished dress rings, and thin redwalls on the tyres. It will also be getting a venetion blind, and new black carpet and black vinyl retrim. Absolutely everything so far I will be doing all myself. It will be getting a rotary conversion from the standard 3K-H/1200cc motor in it now eventually. It will be an extended bridgeport 12A with a very unusual but very effective intake setup with some real nice goodies and a decent sized multipoint nitrous oxide system. Nothing at all from the exterior bar the exhaust note wil give this away. It will also be running a much more restrictive exhaust for street and a fully opened up one for any racing or dyno comps. Thats just a real brief, but as it prgresses you will get a much clearer idea of whats happening. Obviously theres alot more but I think thats a good enough outline for the time being anyway.

Well, as long as there is no buyer for mine it's 'here', but sadly it's for sale... too broke too give it the treatment it deserves. Oh well, I'll always have the pictures, and one day I will own something really old again!

Well here is a bit of a guide as to what the intake is going to end up like. This is basically what I am starting with and modifying it to suit. It was originally on a very prominent Mazda RX3 drag car here in Australia, owned by the Khoury brothers. The car end up in a massive crash while being driven on the streets and and hit a telegraph pole ripping it in half, killing its passengers instantly. One half of the car shot over 50 metres landing right next to a crowded preschool playground. They haven't been used since, but will definately be put to good use as this is a very unique and well designed manifold which could never be completely replaced. It was developed and consructed by the famed Dave Broadhurst and is exactly as it was built and ran on the khoury bros car. Basically about the only info I wil be putting up for the time being is it features primary 45mm and secondary 42mm DCOE's. The rest you can work out from the pics or try figure out for yourself Its a little worse for wear obviously as you can see in the pics but the webers have gone to one of the best carby guys around and are getting bead blasted, a full rebuild and will be working better then new any day. Heres a few pics from before they left to be rebuilt(sorry for some reason I couldn't resize the first two photos: Got a little modding to do on the manifold still, and a couple of little things for the nitrous and then it will be off to get ceramic coated. Let us know what you think. Peachey

How available are guard mirrors in Europe? I am after a set for the car and they are real hard to get here, not to mention the stupidly inflated prices.

Thats a crazy manifold, and a crazy but somewhat sad story behind them! Very nice though

Well its been a long time. Had alot of parts organised and the company ripped me off and been playing with legal avenues and nothng worked out so not much has happened. Only starting to get back into it now. I have had the webers stripped, bead blasted, all components dipped or replaced whichever more suitable, and professionally rebuilt by one of the best in Australia. I am currently working on the manifold at the moment and should be repaired soon. Just need to find a decent steel block round the house somewhere to use. And this will be ceramic coated in a polishend finish which will also be done to many other engine components.
I started the body work finally last weekend. Roof is just about finished and I repaired the bonnet and will be resealed and painted in the final colour tomorrow if I can get enough time in the booth at work tomorrow. If not will be tuesday. I am trying to get body work finished as soon as possible now and once done respray will be finished done almost straight away. I bought some 16" RS-watanabe's for the car, see other thread, but these will now be going onto my RX7 and if it sells will more then likely stay with it so wil no longer going with the JDM style I was considering. Will now be sticking with the grandma/sleeper style with a straight white paintjob, venetion and either red or white wall tyres. Engine, in no hurry just gonna gradually build up parts and take it easy, and just use the car as a daily with stock 3K till it is ready.
I will get photo's of the roof, having a little trouble getting the roof perfect but hopefully will have it done by the weekend.

Hmm. Most inefficient manifold design ever was my first thought. Carbs at different height, and very different lenght on pipes Cool car though, too bad about the curse word scraping it up, what a curse word

Madmaxx, really? Webers are differents sizes as one primary and one secondary. When set up correctly smaller webers is all which is in use, when you start to get into it that when the second weber starts to take place. This manifold isn;t built for outright power that is for sure, but still definately makes a good top end figure when tuned right. It really improves the low and mid range power and creates a very noticable amount of extra torque over regular ida setups.
This exact manifold started life on a early 12A BP circuit race car. It changed hands on a couple of occasions. It then appeared on a very serious RX2 street/show car known as ONXTC. It later went onto one of the Khoury Brothers RX3 drag cars(anyone who followed/follows Australian or rotary drag racing will definately know them) and was the infamous car that was in a very large accident, couple died, car ripped in two and half landed over 50 metres away with a preschool with kids playing there just a couple of metres away. Very large incident in Australia. From there it sat for a bit and went onto a weekend ciruit racer where the manifold ended up leaking, causing a large engine fire. The manifold then sat redundent for a few years and I bought it with it going to be used to its full potential. This setup has been described as a 10 sec setup and has the numbers to prove it, and its not even a drag setup. You do see very similar variations on the big horsepower cars even now, made by the same guy that made this all those years ago, Dave Broadhurst.
Inefficient? yes if not set up right, but with the right time and effort in it and will blow the doors of alot of 13BT's.
Why isn't it used more often then as opposed to the normal IDA 48/45mm setup everyone seems to use? Simply put, two webers doubles the price, they are very difficult to tune properly, they require constant tuning, use ALOT more fuel and they also require more work and material to make the manifolds. Enough ramblings from me for now, pics up tomorrow.
