yeah i thought the 8v non turbos were 130bhp, but i was told that the lpt model like mine only knocks out that much. Even my old 16v had 155bhp! what a con!

Oooh... already posted about this car on the VOC and Turbobricks... nice one!
As far as the bhp figures are concerned, B230ET's put out 182bhp (early non cat 740/760 turbos). 940 2.3 LPT (B230FK) turbos put out a modest 135bhp (but the performance belies that figure), 940 2.3 HPT (B230FT) put out about 165-170bhp). Theres no difference between the LPT and HPT apart from different boost, up the boost on an LPT and you have a HPT....
With a few fairly simple bolt on mods (different turbo, head, cam, big intercooler etc) you'll be up to 250bhp without much trouble... As other discussions on Tbricks/VOC about this car I also say it'll have LH2.4 injection - far better than Bosch Motronic.

Are those pics taken at Hixon? seighford and I decieded to sell it. It did develop a small oil leak, but thats stopped as quick as it started. I don't have any major reason for selling it but i much prefer my estate. The estate has proven its reliability, and we have been through a lot together already, so I'm keeping it and selling the turbo

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
