Ok Left a note in the door 6mths ago of the owner of this escort asking if he wanted to sell it, And got a reply last week, he needed to sell it a.s.a.p because he is going into an oap Home! so £300 later and i was the new owner. Condition wise it is very solid with only two small patches of welding. one owner, garaged from new. and for the last 10yrs was only used on a sunday to go to the shops in! So far I have had all the wheels off to have a good clean around under the arches. and fitted 1.5" lowering blocks to the rear. Ignore Wheels on rear Tyres were flat so Put them on as they was lying around gathering dust!

Spray the big wheels black, fit some 225/60 18s or whatever and raise the suspension an inch or two.

I know that most on here will disagree, but a full set of those rims and a reasonable amount of droppage and you'll reach hero status in my eyes!

Can't say I'm too sure about the design of the wheels, but I think size might work with lowering!

Must admit did try putting the other two wheels on the front! but were miles to big, Thinking about 7x13 deep dish superlites but am also drawn to 7x13 revolutions. Have checked the car from top to bottom now for rust and only 'crunchy' bit is in the nsf floor so nowt to bad really. Just had some 2" front lowering springs arrive today. and hopefully round headlight grill and crystal front lights all going well on ebay this week! next on the cards is getting the good ol' waxoil in all the trouble spots.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

big are fine if you can get the car low enough. and it will never get that low with out channeling. best thing to do with a four door is smooth style then trow a pinto init and add bike carbs, nice exhaust, etc etc

Looking good mate. I'd avoid Superlite/minilite wheels, every curse word does that. Weller MO's ftw ;D
