Well, it turns out my new whip's full of pug. Rubbish. It's about 2 hours into out-of-MOT time and the pressure's on so I've been forced to put in a bit of work with the considerable help of my (sort of) boss. I think for about 3 hours our workshop conversation was based entirely around requests for and offerings of tea and dispariging comments about my general appearence but we got some stuff done. I'll keep posting as and when and check out www.practicalclassics.co.uk as there'll be a bunch of stuff on there, too. touché old boy...no the REggie is for sale,might be splitting it to sell engine and trans separate from rolling chassis. Want an engine for the 230?

Since my shitbox 560SEL decided to bend I've had to remove my CRX from a hedge and pull my finger out.
Steering rack was the 1st job. Easy peasy, you'd think. Absolute curse word of a job and requiring rubix-cube problem solving skills. Was distracted by GT6 chassis a bunch and it ended up taking 2 days...lol. In my defence I was busy smoking, drinking tea and making dispariging comments about people.
Everything else was cool, anti-roll bar links, wheel bearing, CV joint, wishbone, couple of patches etc. But time will tell, MOT tomorrow...wish me luck!!

mr_bowlegs,if matt has had a hand in it there is every likelihood that what may have been a perfectly serviceable automobile will soon turn into a rapidly depreciating object that wishes to return to its natural state. Also,he is endowed (for want of a better word) with quantitiies of sidefat that would make a blue whale blush in the changing rooms... Good luck with the mot bud |

Very dull update - dizzy's dusted, sent off to H and H ignitions, sounds like marraka solo under the bonnet, can only presume it's snapped springs and banging bob weights. Just hope it's repairable. Still got the sodding idle control valve to clean/replace and curb the grot. Just realised this reads lke a telegram, stop. Will post up pics tomorrow, stop.
