Hiya fellas since I'm new to this board i thought id introduce meself show y'all my babies my full name is Thomas Angelo Andrew Mifsud but you can call me Tom;D. I live in Malta although i was born in scotland and I'm 16 years old i own 2 minis and am paying off a third Number one Yellow 1982 Austin Mini 1000  This pic is a long time ago,it is now completley stripped and just a shell. ______________0_________________ Number Two Brown 19?? drivable? the ole estate? humm not exactly no
missing radiator and the rear half of the interior as well as suspension being totally wrecked and tons n tons of rust
BTW slater that one **** of a mini ya got there

if you have an old escort for example the mentality here is that you should deck it out on 19 inch rims with a mahoosive stereo etc etc
only the minis are retro and then not all of them
BTW sinceyour admin could ya please do something about my avatar?i cant seem to get the curse word to work

they're just fibre glass bodies on spaceframes chassis
the paintwork is nice though

looked closer at the pics
i can tell you the old granada or is it a cortina? is a steel body with a Rover V8.seen it run and it is feckin fast
but the fezzy is GRP and most of the red escort is GRP too cept maybe the floor pan and roof

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum, it's the law to own a Mini at one point in your life. So you must be a sheriff. There's another member in Malta, Msida, called psyhcodriver? He's a student and drives a BX. Posts up once and again.
You don't have a relative called Lawrance do you? I did some work in Malta last year for some UK mags and he owned a very quick Cosworth powered Capri that runs 11s at Hal Far? Just wondered as you share the same second name.
Oh, and the 'Fierce' Fiesta is steel, the Cortina is alloy, and virtually all the Mk1 Escorts are full bodied with maybe a GRP panel or two. Only two Mk1s are actual fully space framed... You need to get down to Hal Far more often if you think the retro scene is all about classic Fords. Sure they're huge out there, but I saw so much other cool stuff...

Nice Minis, Tom ! Loads of potential there ! I still believe the ideal car for Malta would be a tuned, Metro-turbo engined Moke... Preferably with 'rent-a-car' stickers and the driver dressed up as an unsuspecting tourist ;D ;D ;D That would give those annoying J-import owners a run for their money  There's another member in Malta, Msida, called psyhcodriver? Retro cars are a normal sight on the roads, as many people (not necessarily enthusiasts) have perfectly maintained cars from the '60s and '70s as daily drivers. bryn TBH i only went to the drags once and didnt really like it cos most of the guys there are right tits and at least 95% chavs.
also I'm more into American Muscle than what the guys run here and theres also my infatuation with drifting to consider

parts are cheap and easy to come by here for normal minis (I'm just off to dismantle a scrapped mini after i write this) but estate bits are rare and presumably expensive
ill have to see
BTW the plan is a resto to learn the ropes and use it as a workhorse and daily driver
