[img src="[/img] ![]() i67.photobucket.com/albums/h320/Mullerbugs/109_0901.jpg"] hi there my names Shane and this is my 75 passat,(project peanut because of its likeness to one!) bit of a rat look project at the mo. don't really know much about these ole barges but it good fun to drive and shocks the hell out of people. Had it slightly lowered at the front and put the wolf race slots on to give it that US muscle car look even though its only a 1300 engine!!!! gonna enjoy it it this summer looking forward to Vw mania in Belgium and then i'm gonna get it sorted in the winter for next summer. If you see me at the shows don't be shy come say hello  Anyone with any interesting info on these cars send us a mail at mullerbugs@hotmail.com. coz its hard as to find any decent info on the blighters!   just a few more shots as trying to get my head round this photo bucket thing! by the way i know its an audi steering wheel but it fit and looked cool, maybe looking for a deeper dished black wheel so if you got one and wanna sell let me know. cheers for the nice compliments guys and i thought i smelt something funny on sunday! |

I'm looking to lower it but there are no off the shelf bits so have to cut and modify some Mk 2 springs, and seeing as i've never done it before i'm a bit scared! I'm getting the stuff together though and will give it a go so this should be done for VW mania next month with a few other little cosmetic changes, nothing major though. Want it slammed but not so it damages the car and makes it unbearableto drive . I'll keep you updated with any new mods!

Baltpie that car is the nuts, i've emailed the guy Justin a few times and cant believe he wants to sell it! There is another fine example like that owned by brad which is a 73 model and that was at GTI international this year but both are the four door version.
mine is the budget version hence the round lights the more luxurious models had the squarelights so this car really is a mirror of me!
Ps had your son lost your car keys up there?

I love this car Peanut, saw you hooning round at GTI International a few weeks ago. Where did that fantatstic steering wheel come from, which Audi? It would look great on the 76 Audi 80 that I've yet to buy!

Hi Peanut - welcome aboard! I love the Mk1 Passat, very rare these days, nice to see one on the road! I am sure that I have a original Haynes manual for the '73 - '76 Passat somewhere, I got it once thinking that I'd probably end up with the car to match it at some point but haven't yet. If it's any use to you I will try and dig it out and you can have it for postage money? Might help keep the old girl on the road! I have a '75 P-reg Mk1 Golf and alot of the fixtures and fittings on your car look similar. Now I think of it, I may well have an original sales brochure somewhere in my stash for your model too, I will have a look and could maybe scan it for you if you like? Personally I wouldn't modify it to much, just keep it road worthy and keep on top of any rust and problems that develop, I quite like the look of it now, a little ratty, my Golf is in similar condition whilst waiting for a full renovation.  Baltipie - I saw that Mk1 Passat 4-door at BusTypes show earlier in the year, it was lovely. Can't believe it's for sale, how much is it?... I don't need it, I don't need it, I don't need it...  |

Glad to see you've joined us on here hope you stick around Had a good look round your Passat on Sunday at CaRS - its lush isn't it! Its bizarre how the interior is green yet the paint is Yellow? Loving the Audi steering wheel aswell - let me know if you end up swapping it for something else, I think it would look nice in my Derby - a bit different to the usual Early GTi wheel which seems to be the normal retro choice |
