so in the effort to get myself back into a RWD vehicle, a mate of mines dad happened to be into his volvo's and had a very good 740 in a field going no where. and it stayed there, dodgy LPG conversion fecked up the petrol injection side of things and i gave up messing with it. then a random person rang up this guys dad and asked would he take away his volvo...  fingers crossed i can start it on friday when i get back down there already I'm planning upgrades ;D styling side i think an amazon front apron and bumper combined with 164 front wings. the rest of the car i like. and leave it dirty  on the performance side in the short term i think i'l just raid the 740 for parts double up the roll bars, use the newer cars dampers springs etc then dump in a 3.0 turbo diesel engine into it anyone know any nice and really really big diesel engines? with rwd box? |

no no it's the 240 series, it only has a 4 banger 2 liter petrolin it
v8 10liter diesel FTW

i was meant to pickup the volvo on friday but got distracted by this   finally got it last night  only need 4 tires(all flat spotted) a battery, wipers, front right headlight and cover up a hole in the drivers seat. it'll fly trought the NCT then. arty shot, or at least it would if i had any skill with a camera..  great fun driveing it, proper driving position, floppy gearstick and the engine mounts are a bit loose |

If i remember correctly, my mums old 245 wagon had twin pot calipers, it also had overdrive and a limited slip diff.... |

If you want a fast diesel in a Volvo. I think that you want a D24T its a 2.4 6 cylinder turbo diesel that used a big T3 turbo. Its not the most refined lump but the standard turbo is big enough to run 1.8 bar of boost, but it wont be a road burner by any strech of the imagination!
