Bloody hell, think I need to go and have a lie down   Is that a wastegate circled? If so didn't realise you needed to run a wastegate with a centrifugal supercharger. Either way, nice work. Your going to have fun keeping all that pipework polished! Sean |

Your going to have fun keeping all that pipework polished! thanks that is a dump valve you have to run one on big boost applications upto 8psi is ok without i have started boost at 18psi so you need one the pipework is mostly stainless so keeping it polished wont be a problem jay Sean |

I love it when you have to search for the engine under all the forced induction parts! Ive got a BOV on mine too, I'm starting on about 9psi with the supercharger, then I'm going for a slightly smalle pulley to up the boost to about 12 from the blower, and then its time to add the turbo for about 20psi at the top end  Stainless FTW, its a lovely car, cant wait to see it being driven J |

Nah the boost is a function of how fast the blower is spinning, as its in direct relation to the engine speed. With a positive displacement like my car (Imp S4) the boost is constant as a fixed volume of is is moved per engine revolution. On a centrifugal blower like this procharger the boost goes up at a square of the RPM, and so boost climbs lots more toward the top end. In both cases its the ratio of blower speed to RPM that gives the boost pressure limit.
The dump vavle will on my car lessen the paracitic losses by allowing the blower to spin freely when not under load. On this car the boost will be vented on overrun as it can climb dramatically when the throttle is shut, causing sticking throttles and poor throttle respose.
