after a few months without a car, i decided its time to get another and actually do my driving test! (instead of just fixing everybody elses....) so now i have a micrawave, similar to this, will add pics of actual car when i get round to taking some! its just had new sills on for the mot man, but they are currently bare metal so ill be looking for some hammerite/ red oxide primer over the next few days... also looking for a new drivers door, as topghia poked a hole in a bubbly bit lol here a couple pics of the mighty 1.0 16v beast!!! look hard below mirror ^^^^ and you will see topghias 'speed hole' under the mirror! lol just polished the glass. lost a wheeltrim yesterday on way to jet wash, but it was smashed to pieces anyway!! plans currently include the o/s track rod end, as its got some play, altho it just passed an mot! some wheels, and probarbly a dose of the stick(not too much tho, its only little anyway!! maybe a proper exhaust when it needs a new one too can anyone tell me the pcd, or what wheels will fit? was thinking vaux / vw / renault / rover for some reason

wasnt my first choice, but stupidly cheap to insure and has a years ticket on it!! also, i only know of one more around here the same colour! mine is a 95. whereas the one in the pic is a 99, i was thinking 14inch revolution 4/5 spokes would look good, anyone care to photoshop? or have any of said rims spare?

At last, somebody's bought one. Here are your instructions.
1. Make yourself a brew, 2. Search for "Micra Love" on the boards here. 3. Scan through what must be around 10 pages of some of the most inspirational finds I have seen. 4. Get busy with the stick 5. Come back and show us what you've done.
Why are you still reading this!! get busy ;D

Congrats on the new motor! You have to be really careful with modding those, IMO try to steer towards a euro look, which should suit it nicely. Suprised its had to have new sills on a '95 model though!? Least you'll know its solid. Look forward to seeing the pics!

its a good original car, with new sills and rear sub frame mounting points , am also waiting for a couple of dry days to paint sills! the drivers door was bubbly and was on my to replace list anyway seen as thought there still rather plentifull. finding one the right colour will be a challenge tho! i still need to get round to putting some speakers in the back and removing the original factory fit tape/radio and I'm still waiting for the log book to appear, I'm guessing I'm owner no5 atm...

Its happened, the lesser retro Micra bubble car has landed! get your RR specs on and see the potential! as tarka said search out the Micra threads or wait for darrenw to stumble upon theis thread at random, some potential in there if you get it right. My mate 'Soft' has got one and i'd never noticed the potential, good luck! in the mean time have you got any pics?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Ive seen one with an SR20DET engine, don't think the insurance will still be so cheep though,
Take things off it and put very little on it, try to hard and you might get featured in Max Filler

right ive put some pics of the beast up now:) see top and i pulled dash out to discover that they don't have iso plugs as i had previously thought, so the standard radio stays for now! as i really wasnt in the mood to mess with wiring, the headlamps currently seem to only work on main beam, regardless of where the switch is so I'm going to have to investigate that, think it could be a relay problem though. dose anybody have a spare haynes manual for one of these?

This has been making me think... This would be a great direction to take your micra, looks wicked! don't think you need to go big diameter with the wheels, but nice and wide FTW Reckon a cheap and effective mod would be to paint the black bumper inserts body colour, and lose the side strips and decals?

i prefer the first pic u posted thanks angle, the other looks like barry and gary have been sticking things on with prick stick... lol street: I'm currently constantly looking about for some 13 or 14 inch wheels for it, but so far aint really found anything suitable for the look i want, in the correct stud pattern... I'm getting tempted to have the hubs re drilled though! really need to replace the drivers side track rod end, every time i go over a bump it wants to go its own way! (which can be a little scary at 70mph...) ive also got problems deciding which speakers to throw in the back, and or if it will be worth making an mdf shelf for it, i have either matsui pod type speakers, pye flush mount, or pioneer flush mount, actually have 2 identicle pairs of pioneers, but only one pair of grilles

FFS man...that track rod end must be about to drop out if it's making the car drive like that...I would stop making the car look nice and sort it ASAP!!

Well, the track rod end is getting done tomorow, i was going to fit it myself then take it to be tracked up, but there only charging me £3 extra on top of tracking charge to fit it! i have pulled the standard radio out twice so far, and put it back! lol first time was just for a peek at the loom, second time when i ran rear speaker wires thru! since then ive strengthened parcel shelf, and repaired the broken hinge thingy, and fitted my matsui speakers! so it should sound a bit better when i fit my mp3 player, (which means removing most of dash again! ) still a few other things to do too, if anyone has a haynes manual for one of these and can tell me what wires do what for radio, then it will save me a couple hours!!! lol I'm gonna look in my bluebird and sunny haynes manuals to see if i get any clues from there!
