Here's a choice selection of a few of my rides, you may recognise a common theme among most of them... The daily: Mk1 GTi, new engine a year ago, very fast and reliable, best car ever made I reckon... 1966 rhd sliding door split screen panel van... 1966 rhd notchback, custom paint, hydraulics, lowest type 3 in the country, multi show winning and magazine featured... 1962 mk1 Cortina, the latest project, converted from 4 to 2 door, slammed, polybushed all round, uprated suspension, GT rear brakes, Lotus discs up front, Safety Devices roll cage, magazine featured, nearing its MOT as we speak... I've also owned, but have no pictures of, these: 1985 mk1 Golf cabrio, black, 1956 lhd oval window ragtop beetle, ex-US showcar, pearlescent flip paintwork, 1973 lhd 1303 beetle, raspberry red, my first classic, 1985 rhd mk2 Polo Coupe GT, black, awesome car!

I sold the Notch because it was like a patchwork quilt underneath and needed more work than I could justify spending on it. It's was an awesome car, a real head-turner, was gutted to see it go. Plus I wanted a mk1 Cortina! ;D I had the juice fitted by Nick at Freestyle bodyworks and Christoff (Scraping Scrap), all in it cost about a grand, would have been less but I kept melting batteries! I wouldn't recommend it on an old VW, unless you're sure the car is 100% solid. If you do, go for a slow system, and get decent suppressors or you'll have no teeth left! PM me if you want more details.

Nice - the angle's a bit steep on those harnesses though :/ *n Eh? Harnesses should preferably go out from the back of the seat parallel to the floor of the car. +/- 15 degrees is considered 'safe' by most but some go up to 45 degrees. If your harnesses angle sharply downwards, an accident will place stresses vertically down the back of the seat (from thepoint where the harnesses 'turn' downwards). Seats are not designed with such stresses in mind and may break. If the seat back breaks, all of that vertical force is instantly transferred to your spine... Ouch. *n
