Yeah heres hoping, the idea is to lose as much weight as possible from it - stripped out, lexan windows etc a set of steels, slap it on the floor and drive it hard Don't forget the Audi/Passat 3A "bubble block" bottom end, (Series 3 cars) to go for 140bhp for between 50-200 quid. Same dimensions etc, just bolt on and enjoy. Lots of Mk2 Golf boys go for this. Or just stick in an Audi 6A 2.0 16V bottom end with a Golf GTI 16V (KR) head. 160bhp straight off. About £500. Or upto 200bhp with the right head work, cams, exhaust etc......... Then strip it!!!!! Steve Cool ideas, it needs to be as cheap as chips so for now it'll be things like exhaust, air filter and as much weight chucked out as possible

if you can get a 2 litre bottom end from a scrappy for 50 quid, it will be cheaper than a new exhaust (200 upwards for a new one).
Take the bumpers off and cut out as much steel as possible to lighten it.

you need only two things in life: WD40 and duck tape. if it moves and it shouldn't use the duck tape, if it doesn't move but should then use the WD40. Genius!

previous owner debadged the car, went for a stealth look.
i haven't decided what look to go for yet...... in two minds about the chrome too. thinking about taking off all the chrome strips on the sides and bumper and going for completely smooth. not sure.....
kinda makes sense since i'm missing half the strips anyway!!!
