Wicked transformation, well done! Looks like a lot of hard work has gone into it. Nice to see a finished result to all that hard work, inspirational! Excuse my ignorance, but what is the black sporty little number?

Right on the money!,its an 85 Fiero, most of the ones in the UK now have "Ferrari" body's on them because the all the plastic panels bolt on to a spaceframe. It was a competitor to the X1/9 but 12 years too late, and pretty underpowered.2500cc and 92 horsepower,OK to drive though but not a patch on the X
No one seems to appreciate how far ahead of its time the X1/9 was.In 1972 an affordable, mid engined car with 4 wheel discs, targa roof and a bonded screen was space age.It also has a 12 gallon tank AND a full size spare wheel...To be allowed to sell an open topped car in America in the '70's it had to survive an 80MPH rollover, plus a 50MPH frontal impact.I proved this when I rolled my first one at Knockhill...I drove it home!.You can also fit enough in the boots for a weeks camping holiday, including a table and chairs! Try that in an MR2!!

Nice looking X/19, very cool, did you see retro cars last month with the X/19 on masserati rims, very nice. The Challenger rocks a fat one for me though as you guessed ;D ;D

My dad did! Apparently in 1976 it was either me or buy a new X1/9, and knowing him and his must have toys habbit, it must of been my moms infuence. You can also fit enough in the boots for a weeks camping holiday, including a table and chairs! Try that in an MR2!! Hmmm i might be trying something like that soon if i do some resto work like you. Great work BTW, I'd love some Challenger muscle action, but i see what you say, they are big old cars. Still want one though!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

For true road presence, you can't match Big V8's.I used to own a big block Dodge D100 pickup on 33 in wheels, with upward swept side exit exhausts. If you timed the blip right, you could blow chav's baseball caps off on the way past! AND make ladies do fine Marylin Monroe impressions!
