Hello Well... you know how I like wibblepoo cars.... well.... I bought this pimp curse word back from Liverpool last night... Apart from heading the wrong way home... ending up at a toll road the opposite direction... then going to powys accidentally, then england, then powys it was a good journey The outer skin of the bonnet broke free so it has a bolt The mot failure list from last year reads "lots of corrosion underneath" but it drives well...and loooks wibblepoo so does it for me  |

 Cool car Rich..what have you got planned for it. It's quite rare to see a Mk2 Rapid without a sunroof. Bodykit is cool, only problem with them being they can cause mud/water traps leading to corrosion..not that Rapids need too much encouragement in that departement !! ;D

it has got mucho rust dave!!
plans are to fit the wings and bonnet i have at home
get it resprayed, get my sport wheels back on it
keep it standard

i spy the dreaded horrible most upsetting un-necessary beginning of rust round the windscreen  i don't like seeing rusty skodas glad this one is being saved, whats the sills (inners esp.) like? what about around the rear screen and the rear arches? have you checked the inner wings too? is this the one that was on ebay a few times and looked really nice and shiney in the pics and has grooved brake discs? |

Are you gonna sack off the bodykit? They look well w@nkola if you ask me, which no-one has done. Difficult to imagine how a bodykit could ever look more 'nailed on over the top' than those ones.
Whats happening with your rotary engined skud?

the original sk conversions uber rare spotlight grill has been lobbed in a skip now.... I'm not sure about the kit....

I know excactly what Rob means.
His Rapid that we are currently reshelling/restoring has been a "member of his family" for many years,and seeing it in a state where the original shell is scrap is indeed very upsetting for him.
I cried real tears when I drove my rusty Rapid that I'd owned for over 14 years for the last time so I understand fully what Rob is saying.

Why are all (pretty much) late(ish) Rapids regal red?!
The picture doesn't do that bodykit justice. It usually looks pretty tasteful and 'right' for the car. Although Rapids don't really need them anyway!
