Thought it was about time I let everyone see what I drive! Not the best, or the cleanest, but here it is! It's been lowered, 1oo+ 13" alloys (need changing) 1.3 4k engine with high lift cam, ported head, uprated valve springs, baffled sump. Motordrive seat, Cibies & an mk4 escort back box! What do you think? Please be gentle!

Got potential.
That Cortina in the back ground does look tasty.

Looks ace, and the wheels look alright too. What kind of wheels do you want to change to?

I'm just after something a bit wider, or with a proper RWD Offset, as they're FWD wheels & don't fill the arches enough. Anything that'll fit, around 6.5" wide prefered. 4x114.3 if you know of anything

Great! Lowered by how much, and cut-down or purpose-made springs?
Mine's getting used far more than anything else right now. Fun, economical and perfect size for the country lanes. Getting more tempted to keep mine long-term, so I ought to sort some wheels too. Only got 14" alloys sadly - I was comparing them the other night and I'd have to go to something like 165/60 or 175/55 (if they exist?) to keep the same radius, not my cup of tea looks-wise and I doubt it'd do the ride any favours. For now the 145's will do......

Loads of people do fit 14's without any trouble, if you go on www.club-k.co.nz, you'll see some people go as big as 17!! But 13's are better IMO. The springs on that are custom made-came from Polleymotorsport. only cost £90 for the set, which I thought was very reasonable. It's about 3" lower than standard, which gives less than 3" ground clearance to the exhaust, so not the most practical of cars, but makes it even more fun.

I now have these to fit: But cant decide what colour to have them painted, thought about silver again, or possibly black with the raised parts in the same goldd as the car. What do you think?

<Nanny hat on>
Before you fit those rims... a word of caution.... They look like 1970s Cosmic rims to me, ergo are unlikely to be 100mm pcd - more likely 4inch (4x4inch), ie Imp, Viva and Mini sized. If that is the case, they won't fit properly and may cause a serious accident.
Get them checked before you go any further. If they are 4x4in, you will probably gain a que of Impers for them, as they are funky and rare. Ebay, m'lad...

They're 4x114.3. They came off a Starlet race car that belongs to a friend of mine, but he now no longer runs 13's & so gave to me for my birthday! Can't wait to get them refurbished & on for CARS Someone very generously did this mock up on what it might look like when they're fitted: What do you think? Better or worse than the old set?
