I actually saw a Husky on the A46 near Leicester today - almost broke my neck doing one of those "ooooh, that's nice" moments as it went flying past in the opposite direction!

Hi V8Imp, Could you amend your title please...I'd do it for you, but I'm a bit lost with all this Imp action!
Along the lines of:
1968 Hillman Imp - Rover V8!
...obviously, change the year to whatever it actually is...and if the V8 isn't the main subject of this thread, then fill in whatever is. eg:
1968 Hillman Imp - Update - NEW IMP ARRIVES!
Cheers old bean!
Simon ;D

right, time to put some ideas together for this little beauty, don't want to go down the V8 route again so what about putting the body on another floorpan, any ideas?

Rob, I've always fancied a front engined rear drive Imp with Zetec power and Sierra 5 speed. As for floor pans, well I thought about the Anglia (all the stuff for the Zetec etc is off the shelf) but it will require some cutting and shutting as the wheelbase is all wrong. Likewise the Corolla GT Coupe which I also fancied for the job. Baz PS. See you in Oct if not before or at WWW.

Suzuki Cappucino?
Front engined rear wheel drive, full indepent suspension, disc brakes, some have LSDs, turbo, you can pick one with rusty body work cheap.

I've always fancied a front engined rear drive Imp with Zetec power and Sierra 5 speed. Great minds think alike! A certain 'blown zetec HA Viva has got me set on doing the same sort of thing to an imp. I was also wondering about floor pans recently. I was thinking about an mx5 or something? No idea how big they are mind I'd love to drop an imp body onto something for some fun!

hows about a subaru justy, 4wd madness, and they are pretty small so potentially not many major adjustments
