My uncle bought an E reg 130LSE brand new in white. I remember white been a cost option for some bizarre reason, but not expensive as black paint. He got it to replace his 105 which I cant remember if it was A or B reg but remember the colour was russet red.

Does that plate say Dixons of Sudbury? They were my local dealers when I grew up, remember they had an old-fashioned garage just off bottom of Market Hill. Is it still there?
Looks a tidy old thing anyway, good work on getting it back on the road.
P.S. One day must get hold of a piccy of the Skoda rally car a colleague used to navigate in. Slightly earlier one with twin round lights IIRC.

dubbedup - the one you are talking about is the Rapid. they are fairly common. there was one on eBay (finished yesterday) with 11,000miles from new! there is another one on eBay right now. other places to look include www.skodarapid.com and some of the forums listed on the club website - www.skoda-owners-club.org (*please note, it is www.neskud.be not .tk) Retro Mat - they sure do open sideways. Insanely cool. should see people's faces in supermarkets! ;D

I remember the one that they done in Street Machine, with centrelines and the alfa lump in the back, it was very very cool. What's the popular engine swaps in them? Is it still the alfa?

favorit engines are put in a lot. there has been one with an imprezza engine, but most use alfa TCs if they are swapping the engine - personally i wouldn't, but that is just my preference. the engine is in the back jonmsm. go here to see some pics of the engine . they are Czech aswell, not russian. the streetmachines article was posted on here a while ago. A very good looking car
