Just bought this to replace my daily driver Felicia 1.6.  Its a 1996 Skoda Felicia Pick Up, powered by the 1.3 Skoda engine. Its currently fitted with a set of 15" TSW wheels which will hopefully be replaced by a set of 13" ATS Classics or similar,lowered a couple of inches as well. Underneath the chequer plate rear lid sits a large sub enclosure fitted with a rather loud sub. Plans are to basically leave as is apart from the changes detailed above. |

MTX Favorit.
MTX is a czech tuning company and they sold cabrio versions of the favorit and the felicia. however, they were only avaliable in cz. that car is the only known one in the UK, and was bought over by some Czech students a few years ago. It had just had a respray before that pic was taken.

Finally got the Pick up home on Tuesday night, and after checking over it went for its MoT yesterday, which it passed with flying colours. Anyway here's a few pics as it is at the moment.       There's just enough room in the back for a set of standard 13" steels (these shall be refitted later today)  The big black box is a professionally made sub box that houses 2 subs This is the rear bulkhead which has been modified for the sub box and all the amp etc has been fitted as well  All i have to do is fit some front speakers and my DVD head unit. Plans are to lower shortly using Felicia front springs (-35mm) and on the rear a set of Mk4 Golf springs (-35mm) and a pair of Vauxhall Corsa shocks. |

What ever you do don't go the easy way lowering it with cut down springs, I did it and the car turned almost undrivable!!! Do it the right way with Felica springs up front and Golf 4 springs in the rear, just remeber that on the Skoda the Golf rear springs lower an extra 20mm, so if you go 40mm it will go down 60mm. Sadly there are not that much space between the motor & street to lower it more than 60-65mm up front and the shortest springs I could find for the front was 40mm lowering, there must be shorter springs available out there....
It's a great little truck and my Shop Hack does a great job, great milage, low maintainence cost, not a sports car but it drives real nice after the Cobra springs has been fitted and I get tons of looks and thumbs up from people, would not trade it for something else right now.....
DP says: ATS Classics could create another not Retro but Retro Looking little Skoda in here.....

cool can i tempt you with a TDi transplant? Engine will be staying as is, the good, old faithful 1289cc Skoda lump. Suspension will be dropped soon, currently sat on a set of standard 13" steel wheels, but should hopefully have a set of 15" BMW mini steels on shortly, just awaiting spacers. |
