Well, I've been a little busy with the house just lately, so I've not had time to do anything with the Ascona yet, I haven't even had time to investigate the engine fault. I have managed to source a few tuning goodies though, so updates will come as and when........ In the meantime, here are a couple of fresh pictures which better illustrate the stance. Yes, I know the back needs dropping a couple of inches As you can see, my dog is quite pleased with it

Thanks Mr :-)
I have a few different sets of wheels to play with now. Pictures to come once I get the seals renewed in my jack so I can try them on.

I have two sets of 15" BBS RS 001 split rims; one set in silver with polished rims, the other set in gold with polished rims. I have a set of 7.5x13" PLS split rims and a set of 8x13" Mattig steels. Alas, no banded Rostyles I also have a pair of Ascona 400r Ronals, should I decide to upgrade my running gear to 400 spec. I think that's all I've got for now, but I may have a set of something else somewhere. Can't remember what they are. Probably nothing special though. Oh, and a couple of sets of standard width rostyles too, just for good measure.

What happened to the banded Rostyles? I was gonna vote them 'wheels of the year' in my personal fictitious R-R awards category.

That's a bit of a sore point rmad. Seems that he'd rather take my money and keep the wheels for himself I'm rather annoyed because I sooooooooo wanted those. Still, ebay are being ever helpful in assisting me in getting my money back.....NOT!!!!

I returned home this morning to find that some lowlife has put a big dent in the side of the Mini Hit and run or vandals? I don't know. So, in an effort to cheer myself up, I thought I'd pop 'round to my garage and try the Mattigs on the Ascona. They are 8x13" Et12 with 205/50/13 tires. I think they look quite good, but they rub slightly on the top edge of the arch. Well, it has been lowered 80mm! I've taken them back off for now, but while I was there I mocked up the rear end at the height that I want it. I have taken measurements and will get some suitable springs made up when finances allow. The only problem is, what to do with the exhaust? It already rattles on the panhard rod. Hmm, I need to have a think about that one. As a side note, the engine fault that I reported earlier seems to have cured itself! I now suspect a sticking valve. I will still fit the 2.2 head, but I now have the luxury of time to do a bit of gas-flowing before I fit it.
