Wey hey! It's got an MOT now! Bought off the 'bay for well under a monkey and driven home no problem! It came from Colchester and had been restored ten years ago, so it's solid but certainly not perfect.....but who cares! I know it's a 4-door, but it'll be my other half's shopping / child ferrying motor within the next couple of years, so perfect for the job. There's still plenty to do - a pair of sills and some odd patches, a coat of paint and some Dunlop alloys. But it's a start!

Nice, 4 doors are this years 2 doors! Wider wheels would look good. will wait for the dunlops, Lotus steelies would be great too. whats the deal with the hot rods BTW?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I think I know that car Does the guy have a blue 2 door too. Looks just like one that lives on the edge of the Greensted estate

Thanks for the comments, guys! The blue Pop in the background is an Acton Hot Rod Assoc. member's car, and the green shell belongs to a mate (the pictures are outside his workshop). There are a few workshops there so it's a nice little community - rods, american cars and a Scirocco enthusiast!
Would love a set of Lotus steelies if I can find some, but I know where I can get some Dunlop alloys! I had said I wasn't going to lower this one (speed bump city where I live), but looking at these pics it needs to be done!
Daveyboy, yeah this came from the Greenstead estate and the lad who showed us round it had built a two-door as well. There was also a blue automatic 4-door parked across the street, but that one looked a bit out of my league!
And Mr Slater - the white one needs to go, it's complete but very rusty (maybe repairable, but WAY beyond my limits!) Haven't decided what bits to keep (the silver one sounds a bit rattly), let me know what you're after. It's tax exempt too....
