Fitted with a 350 cubic inch (5.7) Oldsmobile engine. Bought on ebay and driven back from Margate to Leicester, about 200 miles... got through 70 quids worth of juice Jobs to do: Sort out brakes (pulling to left) Front end is *cough* too low... Engine tune sort out the gauges (esp. fuel gauge ) new fan belt Weld boot floor Plus all the other bits and pieces you find on a 40 year old car.. Body is solid but tatty in places... plan is satin black with a metallic or metalflake roof... Hopfully I'll soon have some progress to report...

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

First rule of old car ownership... attempting to do 1 job will lead to 2 others... Thus: fitting a new fan belt will involve removing the alternator to replace the bent pulley and Heath Robinson bracket... Fitting new rocker gaskets means welding up the extra bolt holes that were filled with silicon... I did manage to swap the battery for the 650 a.h. one of the Sceptre though, only had to shorten one lead... oh, and I've re-routed the bottom hose, as it was hanging V. low... Had a better look round it as well... body seems very solid, and clag free... only welding that's been done underneath seems to be rear spring hangers. Watch this space.... ;D

Now, that is a looker! Fair play for taking on something a bit different. Whats she like on fuel? or is that a filthy word?
