I was looking for one for about 5 and a half months, and went to see about 15 of them in this time (Mk1 and Mk2 XR2's) but all were way over priced rust buckets (one I went to see was only worth £50 and the guy said he wanted £1k for it!!!)
But after all the agro, I spotted this, and went down to Birmingham to see it, and although it was a long round trip in one day, it was worth it, and I got a totally standard minter with only 60k on the clock.
I then started buying bits for her:
Goodridge Braided hoses (I've been lazy, and these still have to be fitted, along with the rest of the brake stuff)
Tar.Ox Monza grooved & drilled discs (I've also got Ferodo DS2000 pads but never got a pic)
My twin 40's:
The car was used in Auto Express feature for Fiesta's Through The Ages in February this year, it was photographed down at Bruntingthrope, got to have a play on the track once the pics were taken

The inlet gasket we got wasn't the right one, so we made our own, and it's Bran Flakes, so it's heathier! My mate Chris was given this job.

Hello late spec dizzy!
The suspension I put on it dropped it a bit, just enough IMO, don't want it any lower
Her spec is now:
Mk3 XR3 Block
Series 2 RS Turbo head
Piper 285 cam
60mm inlet manifold
Twin weber 40 DCOE
20mm inlet trumpets
Facet solid state pump
Facet fuel pressure regulator
Converted to run late spec XR2 distributer
Series 1 RS Turbo LSD gearbox
Ashley 4 branch manifold
Ashley competition system
Tar.Ox Monza grooved & drilled discs
Ferodo DS2000 pads
Goodridge braided brake hoses
Recondition XR2 calipers
Dot 5.1 brake fluid
Standard XR2 pepperpots alloys with Yokohama A539 185/60/13 tyres

Front wheels: Fiesta Supersport alloys with Yokohama road legal track tyres 185/60/13
All the work thats been done on her has been carried out by me and my brother.
So thats been her journey since I bought her in January till now.
