Hey there, the name's Jack, or Topi.. I'm not fussed. I currently own a 1991 Mini, which I baught as a project. It started off as a standard 998cc, fully running car. Now its just doing nothing, I've been building a 1293cc engine taken from an MG Metro, with Arrow Precision flywheel, con-rods, got the crank sorted by DKE, did work on the head etc etc. But havn't fully put it together Other ride is a 1979 Toyota Celica ST. Not many around these days, and they need to be treated well. Its just a shame that I got hold of one, ripped the interior out, and plan to use it for drift. Here's some photomagraphs anyway: Celica.. Ghetto spray job.. How the Mini was.. How the Mini is.. Ok I'm done for tonight

I think you should continue the eruo-rat stylee on the celica with a roof-rack and an oil drum +old cases and also lower her a bit more ;D

Liking the Celica...what are you doing engine wise? The old single-cam lump won't be lighting up the tyres too easily is it? I was watching this on ebay: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4563306122 ...it fetched rather a lot in the end, would've worked out cheaper to go 4AGE in the end!

Hey thanks for the comments.
Daveyboy - The Mini actually needed no work at all, but then I took it apart... Best to start from scratch imo, then I know everything is upto standards.
As for the Celica.. the engine is weak sauce, but with a bit of tinkering it will teach me some basics. When I need more power/blow up the engine, I'll look at what I can drop in there. Maybe the 2000cc DOHC from the later GT, or something alot newer. Other than the engine, It will be lowered quite a bit, and I'll be making up some front camber plates. Celica-Supra wheels (MA61) will go on until I can afford some nice deep dish SSR. A roll cage will be made, maybe hydraulic handbrake system. Other little bits like strut braces will be home-made. Oh, and the boot floor is rotten, so it's being cut out and replaced with a steel sheet.

This is the "interior". Its not as rusty as it looks, alot of it will sand off easily. And this is my inspiration.. Richard from Club4AG's Celica:

Hey, what happened to the Celica? And i trust you sold the Mini in the end?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
