	Thanks Trailer is an FRA Trailer Kit framini.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/page5.html Is an early one and came without the valance and lid, both of these were built by Surf Blue Garage www.surfblue.co.uk for the previous owners of the car who also used to own the garage. All of the spraying and fitting up of the trailer (including shortening the bar so it follows the car perfectly) were also done at Surf Blue. The lid needs reworking as it's wooden and makes the trailer too heavy!!! Thats my winter project! Well while the car is in for it's front end in October anyways!

	Gustimates are around 90 ish at the fly. Insurance company have all the engine mods declared as approx 30BHP increase on standard, which means about 93BHP at the fly. Head is apparently a minisport casting which was stripped and fitted with decent valves etc. It's done the best part of 30K since the engine was rebuilt and the head fitted so it should really be coming to the end of its life, at which point it'll be getting a ST4 head from Morspeed.

	I did mine a couple of years ago - still got the odd spot coming through now though Now needs back subframe, boot floor and possibly it`s 2nd set of sills ! Why do we do it ?!?!

	Thats pretty shocking that a 'modern' mini (built on the same production lines as a Honda concerto or something no doubt), and one which is as well cared for as yours, needs its rusty front end rebuilt when its still on an N-reg. And 30k miles from a cylinder head? Not surprising the Japs have nearly completed ther global car industry takeover mission!

They were built on pretty much the same line as the original Se7en in '59 if I remember rightly... No robots or 'owt. Just blokes in overalls with big hammers ;D Our '89 Mini 30 came direct from the factory with a trainer footprint in the paint (under the lacquer) on the n/s pillar! I still wonder how that got there... Obviously it was repainted under warranty, but I still expect to find some brummy's chocolate wrapper or screwdriver in the door or something whenever I work on it ;D

	Mine had dents in the a-panel where some Brummie was having a bad day and had his spot welder turned up a bit high I think you`ll find even the last of the Mini`s will be needing new panels by now .... Remind me again why we do it ?! ?!

They were built the same as they were in '59 right upto 2000! The whole engine was rebuilt at 36K for the previous owners for whom it was a toy! Now it's my daily drive its standing up really well The head is STAGE 4 and is not really intended to do road millage, so as I've put 20+K on it in the past 2 years I'm not supprised!!! It doesn't need replacing yet, just from the spec I'm not holding my breath for it lasting too much longer it just isn't designed for that!
