Lovely car, saw it at Harewood House! Even got a couple of snaps of it: Might seem like a strange question, but what's the angle of your driveway? I want to do something similar but I'm worried about scraping the pan where it levels out.....

My drive isnt very steep, some very bodged maths tells me its about 15% gradient (does that sound steep to any one else?!?)
I do most of the work on it when its parked on the road. It doesnt scrape on the way down because of the way the footpath eases it back on to the road if you know what i mean

Yes they were dealer fitted. Most of the very last mk1s got them to shift them off the forecourts before the mk2 was launched

are they mk2 bumpers and if they are did they fit straight on? what a lovely car.

Front one is a mk2 item I obtained from Steve at Continental Autospares in York, I believe its a GSF one - and yes, goes straight on. Rear is original later spec mk1.
