I have been so busy tinkering with other machinery that my poor Alfasud has been relegated to waiting forlornly in the garage wondering if I had forgotten completely I had bought it at all. So one day last week after about three months of just giving it the occasional glance as I walked by it I decided I had better give it a bit of a spin. Charged up the battery the nightbefore and not knowing what to expect I went in to start it. Four turns of the key is all it took. Whoever said these cars were unreliable – went for a spin in it and drives like a dream. I still have to do a few things to it though but its reassuring to know that basically it is a sound car ;D

My Sud enters the garage around October, beginning of November for its winter-beautysleep, the only thin I do is take it out for a little ride, like 1 max 2 hours, fill up the gas, give it a nice wash and dry (loove caressing that little devil, hehe) maybe some meguiars quickdetailer for the nice perfume and close the Garagebox. Then, depending on the salty roads in Spring I take it out again around beginning of March, without touching it all winter long... Turn the key, play a little with the gaspedal and pot-pot-pot-pott.. Just pay attention that the carbs are in good shape and synchronize them from time to time, then you wont have any problems with it at all... (besides the truly sad thing about the corrosion)
