Patch the holes up and throw on some alloys!

Scooter is done, Beetle nearly through MOT so maybe I'll finally get time to do something with the Datsun! Could take some time to patch up the holes though. If I leave it all the small holes will join up and then there will be just a few large holes to patch (Weird logic but makes sense to me!)

Just spent the day trying to get a brake hose for the vespa, didn't go well! £55 and 4 weeks delivery time, not impressed. Went round a few garages to see if I could get one made up with no joy.
Its a 213cc (was 198 but just fitted a big bore kit). Hopefully I'll get it back on the road soon, should have stuck with a PX, the cosa (like mine) wasn't a big sales success so parts are pricey and hard to find.
Beetles through the MOT now and I've started cleaning up the inner wings of the Datsun before I start welding. It doesn't look as bad as I feared but still a long way to go!

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Just got back from sticky rock scooter rally at skegness, brilliant weekend in the company of the armed forces scooter club. Scooter ran great all the way there and back and my cobbled together brake system didn't lose any fluid! I ended up using a flexi hose from a beetle and making up copper pipes to attach it to the slave and master cylinders, a lot cheaper than vespa parts ( a front hose is even worse than a rear....£74). Now I can get on with the datsun again.
