That's absolute CLASS! Gutted I pulled my bid on it now... I reckon that matt black is defo the right way to go- just don't do pushing any of those dents out now!!!! Proper cruisin' potential! Much more worthy than the (ab)use I had in mind for it. Get it slammed, get some sounds in there and go cause havoc in the community! ;D ;D (ps - the splittie model arrived yesterday - top notch - will leave you some kwality feedback!!!)

That is, er... cool! Well ratted!
If you get sick of it i'll have it off you for bits. I could use the gearbox, rear bumper, and that super-cool mascot off the bonnet for starters!
Good work on the wheel research, I've got a Rover 800, i'll tell you if the wheels fit tomorrow!

oh b*stards. Apparently the MX-5 gearbox is 929-based but with different ratios and a quick-shift mechanism. I'm gonna keep an eye open for a cheap one of those on the bay.
No idea if the bellhousing pattern is the same like.

HAs yours got a fiesta doorhandle?
PS nah no aircon. And your bumpers are 'bigger' than mine, they stick out more than my painted tin jobs, so I bet the curse word end caps don't fit!

You would certainly think so. If the bellhousing is not cast as part of the gearbox casing.

ha ha i never noticed the door handle lol i think mine has fedaral spec bumpers cos they stick out a bloody mile!! going to either shorten the bumper brackets to bring them into the body, cos i think the bumpers themselves are the same as yours just with a filler strip to space the gap out. or have a look at mk2 granny bumpers and adapt them. the spec on mine is a little unusual cos of its far eastern origins, i.e, aircon but no heated rear window or rear wash wipe!! and another bloody speedo with tipex numbers cos it was kms.

Cool purchase!! Yeah, a bit of slammin', some choice wheels and you'd be sorted! Hyundai are 4x114 PCD, maybe some Coupe alloys or something? I think some Triumph wheels are equivalent to 4x114 but I'm not sure which models
