This car is a restoration project of mine, which I plan to have finished by May. Its only a small project and I'm not sure its even retro. I want to get it right by the time I'm 17 in May. Like I said, its only a small project as there are only a few problems with it (sunroof leak, oil leak, wrecked seats).

Get it dropped a bit over wide steels and it'll be all there! Oh and as for curing the leaks on a Britax sunroof - I never found a solution short of mastic-ing it up Be sure to fit yourself a temperature guage too if it's a "poverty spec" version like I had - eventually I cooked it after an extended twisty lane blat. That light coming on that says STOP really does mean stop!! ;D

Someone had already had an attempt at repairing the leak I think, as there is loads of sealant around the sunroof. Its a shame it made no difference, looks awful.

A sunroof fitter told me that 90% of leaks could be fixed by cleaning the rubber seal, heating it with a hair dryer to pull it back up into shape and them dusting it with talc
Tried it once and it worked on a new-ish roof - might be worth a go as long as there`s no obvious cuts etc The other thing to check is the drains aren`t blocked - obvious I Know but mine were blocked on a 6 month old Metro !
