The American side of Leyland was badged Austin because they thought the yanks would take to it better....  The colour is Ackernite blue..(Not sure if thats the correct spelling) It was sold at a dealers in New York and then sold to it's former keeper who converted it to RHD and a manual box. I think it was for spares reasons as getting hold of a LHD rack was/is very difficult. However I have one and a brand new Auto box so it's gonna be a left hooker once more! |

Tremendous work!
There was a LHD marina pick-up in a forest near me till very recently. i tried to buy it but it needed a lot of welding and the bloke decided it was worth 700 euros! so i said no, ta. It disappeared shortly afterwards, its no doubt been crushed.

Shame as the comercials are becoming very hard to find. I did hear of a Marina estate in France, the guy moved over their with it and then towed it to a scrap yard, he moved back to England 15 years later and it was still there!
