Anybody heading to Scotland for the Moffat Rally? I will be stonking the Pug 104 up the motorway (about 400 miles north!). Should be an excellent weekend with loads of Rootes Group motors.

The entry number came through yesterday, and the docs said that there are 700 entries for the show, with 300 of those doing the road run on the Saturday. Its going to manic ! Should be a complete time warp with that many on the roads for a weekend, the road run goes though a town centre parade as well.

Its an annual event in Scotland, Moffat is north of Carlisle. Entry is now closed for this year and was capped at 700 vehicles. Its all in aid of Macmillan Cancer relief too. In the main show ground the age range is up to 1990 so caters for all tastes. There is also an autojumble field.
On Saturday (24th) There is a town centre parade of 300 vehicles which move on to a 40 mile road run via St. Mary's Loch, Megget and Talla to Tweedsmuir. It passes along the A708 route to Selkirk.
Sunday is the big show, all entries on site (currently 700) by 1030am, large auto jumble too.
Being organised by The Scottish Rootes Group you can be assured its going to have a load of cars we love, and maybe hate!!! I am exhibiting the 104 within Simca Club (as I have joined the club, with no Simca or Talbot yet...).

Moffat Classic Car Rally
Venue: Showground, Moffat
Date: 24 June 2006
Moffat Classic Car Rally is an annual event organised by our supporter Gordon Bisset featuring Classic Cars from all over the UK; owners make this a firm favourite on the Classic Car fixture list every year.
Moffat Local Committee organise fun activities for children and adults, and fundraising on Saturday 24 June will be in aid of Cancer Research UK.
You can expect lots of interesting stalls to visit at the rally, with pink and blue t-shirts, wristbands and more on sale.
