Well Canuk had his camera handy (I even forgot my phone!) so he should have some shots of some of the tastey machinery which was there. Some nice cars and a good natter with folks. I've now met all the previous owners of my Oldsmobile except the guy in cambridge and the guy in the USA! Lots of rubber smoke in the air (and we have the cheek to call the boy racers for the same thing LOL) and an interesting mishap in the Olds on the way home (quite appart from me getting so lost in the estate area that I past the pub 3 times on the way home...) more of which later...

I've not been to the Derby meet in ages, since I was running the Chrysler but I sort of know some of the guys from them coming over to Notts to the Sawyers/Frankie&Bennys/Hooters meets.
Mind you not been to any of the Notts meets since they moved back to Hooters. Can you say stupid small car park vs big silly Oldsmobile....
That Manta was insanely clean for a car painted with rattle cans!

Well, I've seen it done before. But not a whole car. A chap I knew did a pair of wings on his Reckord and you couldn't tell them from the factory paint. Ditto another guy with a VX4/90. So its plausible.
BGT - that "kitted up thing" would be "that" Viva, photos of it been doing the rounds on the net for a while. I think (I hope) its "ironic".
No reason you shouldn't bring an MG down. The Manta was a stocker bar for some headlight covers and the wheels. My Olds is stock. The more the merryier.
