Bit of a weird one, as they have no scrap or real 2nd hand value.
I need a (hopefully free) towhitch ball, or a bent/broken fitting, I really just need the 50mm ball, as it will be welded on top of a length of pipe on a footpiece.
Then I can stand the trailer on it, I do not want to weld a jockey wheel to it at the moment.
So , if anyone has one lying around, or knows where I can go get one, please let me know.

Last one I bought was £2.50 from a local accessory shop that sells towbars, they must have gone uploads in the last 2 years then! Perhaps the local scrapyard is the next port of call?

Or...... Maybe I should widen my search and places to look. I only looked at camping and trailer shops so far. Will look around a bit more widely first. Last one I bought was £2.50 from a local accessory shop that sells towbars, they must have gone uploads in the last 2 years then! Perhaps the local scrapyard is the next port of call? |

Spoke to my local factor this morning when ordering a new 6Volt battery for the bus and some beaded carseat covers for Kompressdi, its his birthday today as well.
He will try get me a ball with just a pin, which is ideal, not the gooseneck type.
The price will also be a whole lot less than what I have seen to date.
