Hi All! This is somthing myself and my mate Will picked up at the weekend, a '72 Marina TC Saloon. It has been off the road for about 9 years, it has a siezed clutch but the body is totaly solid with hardly any surface rust and absolutly NO rot! It won't take much for me and Will (BlazeCoupe) to get it back on the road, but we want to euro style it possibly! It has a full length webasto sunroof and is painted in Black Tulip with Geranium trim...! I will get more pictures for the Readers Rides Section at the weekend when I have had a chance to check it out better. This is a shot of how it should look standard, I can't find any colour piccies at the mo! Can anybody photoshop it to a euro look? My photoshop skills are rubbish!

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

Good work! It looks like a minter, what are the seat like under the covers? Any retro 'finds' inside?

;D ;D ;D Did you know that the first Marina off the BL line was Bedowin..... Basicly Hearing aid beige...!
Yes it is purple, but when talking to the Marina owners you have to use the right phraseing or you might get a horrible glare!

Rootes-Chrysler used names like that for their colours as well, beige was "Sahara Wind" or similar, which was very retro if slightly sickening, but I don't even pretend, my Imp's turd brown metallic and I won't have anyone tell me otherwise! ;D ;D ;D ;D

That marina is the absolute donkeys n0b. I would love it (I realise its not for sale!!) They are impossibly cool now those early Marinas especially the bells & whistles 1.8 TC. Fantastic find. How much is something like that worth? Fell free to tell me to mind my own.

How much is something like that worth? Fell free to tell me to mind my own. Not a problem!! Happy to assist! In a class 1 condition it could fetch anything between £500 - £1500. As it is without MOT and not running then you could be lucky and get one for about £75 - £150. They are becoming a lot more difficult to get in good nick. I know of a '72 TC Coupe that is for sale for about £700 but it needs new wings it is a little over priced TBH. This saloon is totaly solid and has been dry stored for 9 years, all the panels are streight and origional, that in itself is rare on a Marina, but the earlier Marina's seem to have lasted better than the later ones (Mk2, Mk3 etc). I got the origional bill of sale and it cost the guy £1300, that included a FREE webasto sunroof!, full tank of juice for £4!! and road tax for £25.....! I'm happy cos this one is tax exempt!

Splendid work my friend! Lovin the twin lamp thing! I have a spare set of weller 8 spokes, but they need shot blasting and painting again! K series engine could be on the cards if I can get a donor car cheap enough! But a tuned 1800 B Series could be cheaper! Suspension: Well I'm thinking a Stage 2 kit for now, with Spax dampers.
